Aman Sehrawat Wins Bronze at Paris Olympics, India Secures Sixth Medal

Sports Desk, August 10, 2024: Indian wrestler Aman Sehrawat clinched the nation’s sixth medal at the Paris Olympics by triumphing in the bronze medal repechage bout against Puerto Rico’s Darian Toi Cruz. Displaying remarkable resilience, the 21-year-old Sehrawat, despite a minor nosebleed, aggressively pursued his victory, ultimately securing the bronze in the Men’s Freestyle 57 kg category.

Sehrawat’s achievement has brought renewed optimism to Indian wrestling, which could potentially see its medal count doubled if Vinesh Phogat’s appeal at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) yields a favorable outcome.
