Assam Government Launches Special Pilgrimage Train to Ayodhya for Devotees
Guwahati, August 14, 2024: In a significant initiative to enhance spiritual tourism, the Assam government has organized a special pilgrimage train, named “Shri Ayodhya Ramlala Darshan,” dedicated to devotees from Assam. This pilgrimage is designed to offer participants an enriching spiritual experience, combining devotion with comfort.
Pilgrimage Itinerary
The pilgrimage begins with a midnight departure from Guwahati Railway Station. The detailed itinerary is as follows:
– Day 1 (00:05 AM): Departure from Guwahati Railway Station.
– Day 2 (06:00 AM): Arrival at Ayodhya Station, followed by visits to Hanuman Garhi, Ramlala Darshan, and Saryu Ghat for the Sandhya Aarti.
– Day 2 (11:45 PM): Departure from Ayodhya Railway Station for the return journey.
– Day 4 (12:30 PM): Arrival at Guwahati Railway Station.
Facilities for Pilgrims
The pilgrimage train is equipped with various facilities to ensure a smooth and comfortable journey:
– Meals: Vegetarian meals including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks will be provided throughout the journey.
– Accommodation: Freshening up facilities at Ayodhya, along with lunch and dinner arrangements.
– Capacity: The train can accommodate 800 passengers, with each coach staffed by tour escorts, housekeeping personnel, and security guards.
– Management: A dedicated IRCTC tour manager will oversee the efficient management of the trip.
– Insurance: Travel insurance is provided for all passengers.
– Transfers: Transportation from the railway station to the hotel in Ayodhya for freshening up is included.
– Utility Kit: Each passenger will receive a utility kit comprising essentials like toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, and a comb.
This initiative by the Assam government is part of its broader efforts to promote religious tourism, ensuring that devotees can embark on a well-organized and spiritually fulfilling journey.
