Guwahati Police Recover ₹5 Lakh in Ongoing ₹3 Crore Investment Scam
Guwahati, August 31, 2024: A team from the Cyber Police Station, Guwahati, successfully recovered ₹571,887 in a significant fake investment scam. The victim, a resident of Gandhi Basti, Guwahati, was defrauded of a staggering ₹3 crores in the scam.
The recovered amount has already been credited back to the victim’s bank account, offering some relief. However, the case is far from over as the police continue their efforts to recover the remaining defrauded funds.
Authorities are determined to track down and return as much of the stolen money as possible. The investigation is ongoing, with hopes that more of the victim’s losses will be retrieved soon.
