Chief MinisterOpens Walking Zone in Bongaigaon, Monitors Medical College Project Progress
Guwahati, September 18, 2024: Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated the walking zone and musical fountain at the immersion site in Bongaigaon city. This project, costing ₹5.91 crore, is part of Bongaigaon’s beautification and development efforts. It provides a safe space for residents to walk while improving the area’s natural beauty.
During the event, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of such initiatives in enhancing urban life. The walking zone, now open to the public, offers a scenic route for relaxation. The musical fountain adds to the attraction, creating a pleasant environment for visitors.
Chief Minister Sarma also visited Bongaigaon Medical College and Hospital. He reviewed the progress of the newly constructed building. Following the inspection, he met with workers to discuss ongoing developments, ensuring the project stays on track.
The Chief Minister highlighted the government’s commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure in Assam. The Bongaigaon Medical College is set to enhance medical services for the region, catering to the growing healthcare needs of the community.
