Assam Cabinet Approves Public Disclosure of APSC 2013 and 2014 Recruitment Malpractices
Guwahati: The Assam Cabinet has decided to unveil the findings of the investigation into the 2013 and 2014 Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) recruitment scam. This decision follows the inquiries led by two separate One-Man Inquiry Commissions, headed by Justice (Retd) B.K. Sarma. These commissions were tasked with probing the allegations of malpractices and corruption in the Combined Competitive Examinations (CCE) conducted by the APSC in 2013 and 2014.
The investigation reports revealed shocking levels of corruption and unethical practices. The committees noted glaring irregularities in the recruitment process, showing how beneficiaries and perpetrators manipulated the CCE-2013 examination for their gain. The extent of corruption uncovered was beyond imagination, reflecting severe flaws in the system.
In a step toward transparency and accountability, the Assam Cabinet has approved the decision to make these findings public. The reports will be presented in the Assam Legislative Assembly to inform the people of Assam about the widespread corruption that existed within APSC during the previous administration. This move aims to shed light on the extent of the malpractices and ensure such actions are not repeated in the future.
