Agomoni, January 23, 2024: In an early morning operation on January 22nd, police in Dhubri district seized four smuggled cows along with a luxury car near Basakpara bazaar under Agamani Police Station.
The luxury vehicle, identified as WB64C1888, was reportedly traveling from West Bengal to Gauripur when it experienced a breakdown near Basakpara bazaar. Alert locals in the vicinity promptly informed the police about the suspicious situation.
Upon receiving the information, the police reached the scene and discovered four smuggled cows concealed within the luxury vehicle. The driver of the car was reportedly heading towards Gauripur from West Bengal at the time of the breakdown.
The swift action by the police underscores their commitment to curbing illegal activities, including the smuggling of cattle. The seized cows and the luxury vehicle are now in police custody as investigations into the incident continue.
