Gossaigaon, January 24, 2024 – In a heartfelt celebration, Gossaigaon, along with various parts of the state, marked the 127th birth anniversary of the revered leader, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. The commemoration, organized in collaboration with the Bengali Yuva Student Federation, paid tribute to the iconic freedom fighter.
The event kicked off with a dignified flag hoisting ceremony, symbolizing the spirit of patriotism that Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose embodied. Following the ceremonial tribute, a vibrant procession commenced from the Gossaigaon Nath Mandir premises in Gossaigaon Sadar town.
The inauguration of the procession was done by the 1st Gossaigaon Assembly Constituency MLA, Jiran Basumatary, who highlighted the significance of honoring Netaji’s legacy. The procession showcased a display of unity and respect for the leader’s contributions to the country’s struggle for independence.
As part of the festivities, a drawing competition was organized for students from various schools in Gossaigaon, fostering artistic expression and commemorating Netaji’s ideals.
