Karimganj Police Seize 80,000 YABA Tablets in Major Anti-Narcotics Operation
In a decisive anti-narcotics operation, Karimganj Police intercepted a truck and seized 80,000 YABA tablets. These tablets, valued at crores, were confiscated following credible intelligence. Two individuals involved in the smuggling attempt were arrested during the operation.
The swift action of the Karimganj Police disrupted a significant drug trafficking route. The seized YABA tablets, which are synthetic stimulants, represent a major catch in the ongoing fight against narcotics in Assam.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took to social media platform ‘X’ to commend the efforts of the police. In his post, he wrote, “Good job by Assam Police,” recognizing the team’s success in curbing illegal activities.
