Guwahati Cyber Police Recover Over ₹3.2 Lakh in Fake Investment Scam
Guwahati: The Cyber Police Station team in Guwahati has made significant progress in a financial fraud case, recovering a total of ₹3,20,463/- from a fake investment scheme. The latest recovery of ₹70,463/- was credited to the victim’s bank account yesterday, following an earlier recovery of ₹2.5 lakhs.
The victim, a resident of Malibagan, Guwahati, had suffered a massive loss of ₹37 lakhs due to a fraudulent investment scheme. The case, currently under investigation, is being pursued diligently by the cyber police, who are making continued efforts to recover the remaining funds.
Authorities have assured the victim that the recovery process is still ongoing, and they are optimistic about recovering a larger portion of the defrauded sum in the coming days. The Guwahati Cyber Police have urged citizens to exercise caution when engaging in investment schemes online.
