Anti-Drug Operation in Guwahati: Two Arrested, Heroin and Scooter Seized
Guwahati: In a decisive anti-narcotics operation, an East Guwahati Police District team from Dispur Police Station dismantled a drug den in Sijubari, Guwahati City. Acting on credible intelligence, officers arrested two suspects: Faruk Ali, 33, from Lakhipur, and Immam Ali, 38, from Barpeta.
During the operation, authorities seized two soap cases containing suspected heroin, totaling 26 grams. Additionally, two mobile phones and a scooter with the registration number AS 01 FR 9476 were confiscated as part of the evidence.
This raid highlights the police’s ongoing commitment to tackling drug trafficking in Guwahati, reinforcing their focus on curbing illegal activities in the region. Both suspects remain in custody as investigations proceed, with further details anticipated from law enforcement in the coming days.
