Desk Report, January 27, 2024 – Today, between 11:15 AM and 3:00 PM, the 19th Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) organized a Civic Action Program and Pre-Recruitment Rally at Durahati Adarsh High School, encompassing the Border Outpost (BOP) Tistapara and Gachpara L.P School areas in the jurisdiction of BOP Ghewmari, falling under Sector Dhubri. Deputy Commandant Gaurav Yadav inaugurated the event in the presence of local presidents, members, Village Defense Personnel (VDPs) of GP Durahati, GP Gachpara, school teachers, students, and other prominent individuals from nearby villages.
Throughout the program, essential items such as stationary supplies, sports equipment, dustbins, wall clocks, and school benches were distributed to the needy population residing in bordering areas, including villages Dubirpar, Baladoba, Tistapara, Durahati, Kumargati, Gachpara, Ghewmari, Charghewmari, and Silghagari. Additionally, the 19th Battalion BSF organized a pre-recruitment rally to inspire and encourage the younger generation to join the security forces and serve the nation with pride.
Deputy Commandant Gaurav Yadav reaffirmed BSF’s commitment to providing various forms of assistance for the well-being of the local people, assuring them that such programs would continue in the future. He emphasized the importance of education in societal upliftment and praised the mutual bonding between the residents of bordering villages and BSF.
Local villagers and teachers from all schools expressed profound happiness and sincere gratitude for the commendable Civic Action Program initiated by the 19th Battalion BSF.
