Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma Inaugurates India International Science Festival 2024 at IIT Guwahati
Guwahati: Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated the India International Science Festival (IISF) at IIT Guwahati today. Union Minister of State Dr. Jitendra Singh and other dignitaries also graced the event. The festival highlights India’s remarkable scientific achievements and focuses on leveraging innovation for building a developed nation or Viksit Bharat.
In his address, Chief Minister Sarma expressed pride in Assam’s active participation. Around 1,500 students from the state are attending the festival, showcasing their scientific enthusiasm. He conveyed heartfelt gratitude to the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s Office for its continuous encouragement toward realizing the aspirations of the North-East region.
