Guwahati: Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has issued a notification regarding disruptions in train services for December 2024. These changes include cancellations, rescheduling, and regulations to facilitate safety work across its network. Here’s a detailed list of affected trains for travelers’ convenience.
Several trains have been canceled on specific dates, impacting both passenger and express services. Below are the details:
1. 15888 Guwahati-Badarpur Express: Canceled on December 4 and December 7, 2024.
2. 15887 Badarpur-Guwahati Express: Canceled on December 4 and December 7, 2024.
3. 15616 Silchar-Guwahati Express: Canceled from December 1 to December 8, 2024.
4. 15615 Guwahati-Silchar Express: Canceled from December 1 to December 8, 2024.
5. 15617 Guwahati-Dullabcherra Express: Canceled on December 2, 4, and 7, 2024.
6. 15618 Dullabcherra-Guwahati Express: Canceled on December 3, 5, and 8, 2024.
7. 05698 Guwahati-New Jalpaiguri Special: Canceled on December 3 and 5, 2024.
8. 05697 New Jalpaiguri-Guwahati Special: Canceled on December 4 and 7, 2024.
9. 05639 Silchar-Kolkata: Canceled on December 5, 2024.
10. 05640 Kolkata-Silchar: Canceled on December 6, 2024.
NFR has rescheduled two long-distance trains, adjusting their departure timings:
1. 12504 Agartala-SMVT Bengaluru Express: Rescheduled to depart at 7:00 AM instead of 5:30 AM on December 3 and 7, 2024.
2. 12515 Coimbatore-Silchar Express: Rescheduled to depart at 3:00 AM on December 2 and 9, 2024, instead of 10:00 PM.
Train regulations have been implemented for smoother operations during this period:
1. 12507 Thiruvananthapuram Central-Silchar Express: Regulated on December 3, 2024.
2. 14038 New Delhi-Silchar Express: Regulated on December 5, 2024.
3. 14620 Firozpur Cantt-Agartala Express: Regulated on December 2, 2024.
The railway authorities have undertaken essential safety works, prompting these temporary adjustments. Passengers are advised to check train schedules before planning their journey.
