STF Assam Busts Drug Operation, Seizes 214.81 Grams of Heroin in Guwahati
Guwahati: The Special Task Force (STF) of Assam achieved a significant breakthrough in an anti-drug operation in Guwahati. Acting on a tip-off, the team conducted a raid at Nabagraha Hill under Latashil Police Station’s jurisdiction.
During the operation, officials apprehended one suspect and seized 16 soap boxes containing heroin. The narcotics weighed 214.81 grams, indicating its substantial market value. Alongside the drugs, the team recovered ₹1,06,700 in cash and a mobile handset, believed to be used in the illegal trade.
The STF’s decisive action underscores their commitment to curbing drug trafficking in Assam. Authorities have intensified efforts to dismantle narcotics networks in the region. Further investigation is ongoing to uncover more links to the case.
