Sribhumi Police Seize 670 Grams of Heroin, Arrest Four in Anti-Drug Operation
In a decisive anti-narcotics operation, Sribhumi Police intercepted a vehicle carrying heroin at Radha Pyaare Bazar. Acting on credible intelligence, the operation led to the recovery of 670 grams of heroin concealed in the vehicle. The intercepted vehicle was reportedly traveling from a neighboring state.
Three individuals traveling in the vehicle were immediately detained. Upon further investigation, authorities traced the supply chain to a dealer, who was also apprehended. The arrests have provided significant leads in the fight against drug trafficking in the region.
Acknowledging the success of the operation, Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma commended the police team. Taking to the microblogging platform X, he wrote, “Good job Assam Police #AssamAgainstDrugs.” His statement highlights the government’s ongoing commitment to eradicating drug networks in the state.
The seizure and arrests mark another milestone in Assam’s intensified anti-drug campaign. Assam Police continue to focus on dismantling drug cartels and ensuring a safer society for all citizens.
