Assam Police Chiefs Reunite in Guwahati to Share Insights and Honor Service
Guwahati: The first-ever Reunion Seminar of Assam Police Chiefs was held in Guwahati, marking a historic milestone for the state. The event brought together serving and former police officers who contributed significantly to building a world-class police force for a safer Assam.
Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma graced the seminar, which included former Assam Directors General of Police (DGPs) and senior leaders from Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Central Police Organizations (CPOs). The reunion was a unique platform for serving personnel to learn from the vast experiences of their predecessors.
In his address, Dr. Sarma acknowledged the transformative journey of Assam towards peace, stability, and development. He attributed this progress to the relentless efforts of the Assam Police and security forces. The Chief Minister emphasized the pivotal role of leadership at all levels, lauding Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for their guidance.
Dr. Sarma extended heartfelt gratitude to the officers for their dedication to public service. He also paid tribute to the late officers, appreciating the silent yet vital support of their families, especially the spouses of the deceased.
The seminar served as an occasion to celebrate the collective contributions of law enforcement leaders while inspiring the current force to continue working towards a secure and prosperous Assam. It reinforced the state’s commitment to public safety and governance excellence.
