2 Women Arrested with 122.83 Grams of Heroin in Guwahati Police Operation
Guwahati: In a significant anti-narcotics operation, the West Guwahati Police District apprehended two women for drug possession. The operation involved teams from Bharalumukh and Gorchuk Police Stations.
The arrested individuals were identified as Rina Begum, a resident of Latasil, and Subha Devi from Lokhra. They were found carrying five soap cases containing suspected heroin.
Upon further investigation, authorities recovered an additional five soap cases with more suspected heroin. The total weight of the seized contraband was measured at 122.83 grams.
The police stated that the arrests and drug seizure were part of their ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking in the region. The operation underscores their commitment to maintaining law and order while curbing illegal activities.

A WGPD team consisting personnel from Bharalumukh PS and Gorchuk PS led to arrest of 2 women - Rina Begum (48) of Latasil & Subha Devi (53) of Lokhra - after they were caught with 5 soap cases of suspected heroin.
