Assam Police Strengthen Border Vigilance, Thwart Infiltration Attempt by Six Bangladeshis
In a firm response to illegal infiltration, Assam Police recently apprehended six Bangladeshi nationals near the India-Bangladesh border. Demonstrating heightened vigilance, the authorities swiftly identified and pushed them back across the border.
The individuals were identified as Mustafizur Rahman, Kabbo Cruze, Md. Lelin Mia, Sirazul Islam, Saiful Islam, and Muktar Hussain. Their attempt to cross into Assam illegally was thwarted due to the police’s enhanced monitoring and quick action.
Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma praised the Assam Police for their efforts. Sharing the update on social media, he emphasized that Assam remains resolute against unlawful infiltration. His tweet declared, “No place for illegal infiltration in Assam,” reiterating the state’s zero-tolerance policy toward such activities.
This development reflects Assam’s continued focus on safeguarding its borders and maintaining internal security. The state’s authorities have ramped up their monitoring and operational efficiency to deter such cross-border movements effectively.
