Cachar Police Seize Drugs Worth ₹1 Crore, One Arrested
Drugs Valued at ₹1 Crore Recovered by Cachar Police in Anti-Narcotics Operation
Cachar Police conducted a successful anti-narcotics operation, seizing drugs worth ₹1 crore near the Digharkhal Toll Gate. Acting on reliable intelligence, officers intercepted a vehicle traveling from a neighboring state. The search led to the recovery of 8,640 bottles of Codeine Phosphate cough syrup and 2 kilograms of ganja.
One individual was arrested in connection with the illegal transportation of these substances. The police have initiated further investigations to trace the source and destination of the drugs.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma appreciated the efforts of Cachar Police for their vigilant action. Sharing his thoughts on the social media platform ‘X,’ he wrote, “Good job Assam Police.”
