Cachar Police Seize 14,000 YABA Tablets Worth ₹4.2 Crore in Zuzang Hills Bust
February 03, 2025: In a significant anti-narcotics operation, Cachar Police seized 14,000 suspected YABA tablets in Zuzang Hills. The consignment, valued at ₹4.2 crore, was intercepted under Lakhipur Police Station during a routine vehicle check.
According to officials, the police team, acting on intelligence inputs, stopped a suspicious vehicle moving through the hilly terrain. Upon inspection, they discovered a large quantity of the illicit stimulant concealed within the vehicle. The traffickers attempted to smuggle the contraband through the Assam-Manipur border route, a known corridor for drug smuggling.
Authorities have detained individuals connected to the case for further investigation. Cachar Police are now working to identify the supply chain and potential links to organized crime networks.
