Guwahati Police Foil Cattle Smuggling Attempt, Two Arrested
Jalukbari Police Nab Two for Illegal Cattle Transport in Guwahati
Guwahati; February 03, 2025: A Jalukbari Police team successfully intercepted a vehicle attempting to smuggle cattle in Guwahati. The incident took place when officers stopped a vehicle with registration number AS 01 NC 5043, which was found transporting seven cattle illegally.
Two suspects, identified as Saminur Islam and Hashmat Ali, were taken into custody at the scene. Authorities confirmed that the duo was involved in illegal cattle smuggling. Following the arrest, legal proceedings were initiated against them.
The police have intensified operations against cattle smuggling in the region. Strict action continues to curb such activities and ensure compliance with the law.
