Assam Police Identify 10 Accused in Attack on Congress MP Rakibul Hussain
February 21, 2025: Assam Police have identified ten individuals allegedly involved in the attack on Congress MP Rakibul Hussain in Nagaon on February 20. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma shared their details on his official X handle, assuring strict legal action against them.
In his statement, CM Sarma emphasized the government’s commitment to maintaining law and order. “The police have identified those involved in the assault on Congress MP Rakibul Hussain. Legal action will follow,” he stated.
The identified individuals include:

- Haresh from Fakoli
- Basir from Tamulitup
- Kasem Ali from Kawoimari
- Rosidul from Kawoimari
- Ayub from Gunabari
- Lutkior from Rail Station
- Khaleque from Rowmari
- Mojibur from Gorematikhowa
- Jahangir from Koachgaon
Police officials are conducting further investigations to gather more evidence. Authorities have assured that strict legal measures will be taken against those responsible for the attack.
