Guwahati Police Arrest Three Drug Peddlers, Seize Heroin and Stolen Vehicle Accessories
Guwahati; February 21, 2025: Acting on specific intelligence, a team from Gorchuk Police Station raided a house in Baliram Rajbonshi Path, Guwahati. The operation resulted in the arrest of three drug peddlers and the recovery of heroin, stolen vehicle accessories, and other illegal items.
The arrested individuals were identified as Md. Makakmayum Rahmat Ali of Imphal, Md. Islam Khan of Thoubal, and M. Sanju Singh of Guwahati.
During the raid, police recovered 45.1 grams of heroin concealed in four soap boxes. Additionally, they seized several stolen vehicle accessories, including locks for bikes, cars, and fuel tanks. Officers also seized four mobile phones, a Maruti A-Star (Reg. No. AS 01 AL 6283), a Scooty (Reg. No. AS 01 BK 9919), and ₹5,400 in cash.
Authorities are conducting further inquiries to determine the extent of the accused’s involvement in drug trafficking and vehicle accessory thefts. Guwahati Police have intensified their crackdown on drug-related crimes, urging citizens to report any suspicious activities.
