Assam CM Holds Meeting on PMAY-G Housing

CM Sarma Evaluates PMAY-G Implementation, Reviews Women’s Grant Distribution in Assam
Guwahati; March 06, 2025: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma reviewed preparations for the distribution of houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) in a high-level meeting with Cabinet Ministers and senior officials.
The meeting focused on ensuring a smooth and timely allocation of houses to beneficiaries across the state. Officials provided updates on the progress, addressing key challenges in implementation. The CM emphasized the need for efficient execution, urging officials to prioritize transparency and accountability in the process.
In addition, Sarma conducted a video conference (VC) with the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Biswanath to discuss financial grants under the Assam Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan. The initiative aims to empower women entrepreneurs by providing necessary financial support. Discussions covered the disbursement process and strategies to maximize outreach.
The Assam government remains committed to welfare schemes that promote housing and women’s entrepreneurship, ensuring inclusive growth across districts.
