Assam CM Reviews Women Empowerment Scheme, Financial Aid to Reach 25 Lakh Beneficiaries
Guwahati; March 06, 2025: Assam continues to lead in women’s economic empowerment through innovative initiatives. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma reviewed the roadmap for distributing financial aid under the Mukhya Mantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan. This scheme will support over 25 lakh women micro-entrepreneurs across the state.
The financial assistance program will begin in Behali and then expand statewide. The initiative aims to strengthen women-led businesses and enhance economic growth. The government is committed to ensuring seamless distribution of funds, focusing on grassroots development.
Apart from this, CM Sarma also held key discussions regarding Assam Budget 2025. The budget, a crucial milestone in the state’s growth, will allocate funds for various welfare projects. It is expected to prioritize economic development, infrastructure, and social welfare.
With these efforts, Assam moves forward in empowering women and strengthening its economy.
