Desk Report, February 03, 2024: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma engaged with the 171-member National Cadet Corps (NCC) contingent from the state, which actively participated in the Republic Day parade in New Delhi last month. The interaction took place at the Lok Sewa Bhawan in Assam.
CM Sarma expressed his appreciation for the role played by NCC in shaping organized, trained, and motivated youth as a valuable human resource. He highlighted the significance of NCC as a platform that contributes to rebuilding the character of the youth, emphasizing their role as essential assets for the nation’s growth.
Congratulating the contingent for representing the state in the Republic Day Parade, Sarma acknowledged it as a great honor. He encouraged the cadets to carry forward the lessons learned during their exposure to the Republic Day parade, inspiring and motivating their fellow citizens.
