Dhubri, February 06, 2024: In a tragic incident that unfolded in Gauripur, two young lives were lost in a fatal road accident. The grim event transpired on National Highway 17 at Baldamara, within the jurisdiction of the Gauripur police station.
The victims of this heart-wrenching incident were two brothers who met an untimely demise. Rafiq Hussain, aged 27 and the son of Abdul Malek from Geramari Part V village, and Ajmer Hussain, 23 years old and the son of Ali Hussain. Rafiq, a father of two children, now rests in eternal silence at the age of 27.
The fateful journey from Botertol to Gauripur took a tragic turn when a Scorpio with the registration number AS 01 FF 9416 collided with them from behind, causing the two youths to plummet to the roadside. Swift action from the local residents saw them being rushed to the hospital, clinging to the hope of a miracle.

Tragically, as they made their way to the hospital, the grip of death tightened, claiming the lives of the two brothers. Gauripur police arrived at the scene, taking custody of the driver and the vehicle involved, initiating an investigation into the sorrowful incident.
