Nihar Ranjan Saikia, Jamugurihat, February 07, 2024: Tragedy struck the quiet roads of Gossaichuk in Jamugurihat as a fatal road accident claimed the lives of two young souls. The incident, which occurred due to reckless speeding, involved a two-wheeler bearing the registration number AS 03 AA 7090, identified as a KTM bike, crashing into a roadside tree.
The ill-fated journey was supposed to lead Ashim Gogoi, aged 22, and Vijay Karki, also aged 22, to Chokighat via the route to Gosaichuk village. However, destiny had a cruel twist in store as the speeding vehicle met its tragic end, instantly snatching away the lives of both the rider and the pillion.

Hailing from the serene confines of Dorjibasti village in Dholaibeel, Jamugurihat, the two youths were beloved members of their community, their untimely demise leaving behind a void that can never be filled. The loss of these vibrant individuals has cast a pall of sorrow over their families, friends, and the entire locality.
