Biswanath, February 20, 2024: In a decisive operation, the Special Branch of Biswanath District Police successfully intercepted and seized a substantial quantity of cannabis in Burhigang, Biswanath. The illicit substance, commonly known as Ganja, was being transported by two individuals on the ultra bus “Ruma” from Tezpur to Lakhimpur.
Amidst heightened vigilance, the Special Branch of Biswanath district police swiftly conducted a targeted raid on the ultra bus, resulting in the apprehension of two smugglers. The culprits, identified as Lokeshwar Bora and Navin Bora, were promptly arrested, and a thorough search led to the recovery of 22 kg of ganja from their possession.
