Gossaigaon, February 23, 2024: In a harrowing incident on the road to West Bengal, a moving truck carrying a cargo of coal erupted into flames near Srirampur, Gossaigaon. Eyewitnesses reported a sudden ignition followed by rapid engulfment of the vehicle in flames, creating a scene of chaos and urgency along the highway. The truck, bearing registration number RJ O9 GD 2165, became a blazing inferno, sending plumes of thick smoke billowing into the sky as onlookers scrambled to safety and alerted emergency services.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire may have been sparked by a mechanical fault within the truck. Despite efforts to contain the blaze, the intensity of the fire quickly consumed the vehicle, leaving little chance for salvage.
