Assam Gears Up for Inaugural Woman Empowerment Run: Traffic Advisories Issued
Guwahati, March 07, 2024: In anticipation of the upcoming 1st Assam Woman Empowerment Run scheduled for March 8, 2024, the State Level Advisory Committee for Students and Youth Welfare Assam has orchestrated a dynamic event from 5:00 am to 7:00 am. The route spans from Lachit Nagar to Dispur Super Market on G.S. Road, weaving through Bhangagarh – Ganeshguri to the Dispur Rudra Singha Sports Complex Super Market.
To ensure a smooth flow for the runners and maintain safety, the committee has issued essential traffic advisories. Specifically, restrictions will be imposed on the movement of commercial goods-carrying vehicles with four wheels or more on G.S. Road within Guwahati City from 5:00 am to 8:00 am on March 8, 2024.
Due to the marathon’s designated left lane on G.S. Road from Lachit Nagar to Dispur Super Market, vehicles heading from Ulubari to Dispur will undergo strategic diversions at various points onto the opposite lane of G.S. Road from 5:00 am to 8:00 am on the same day.
However, vehicles traveling from Ulubari to Rukmingaon will continue along the same lane of G.S. Road from both directions during this period. This thoughtful planning aims to minimize disruptions and ensure the success of the empowering run.
As Assam eagerly prepares for this historic event, it is advised that residents and commuters take note of the traffic adjustments to facilitate a seamless experience for participants and the community alike.
