Broker Arrested in Golakganj for Allegedly Collecting Illegal Money in the Name of Jobs
Agomani, March 11, 2024: In a significant development, Golakganj Police have apprehended Miraj Ali, accused of illicitly amassing funds under the guise of job placements. The alleged scheme targeted hopeful job seekers in Golakganj, specifically those aspiring to work at Dhubri Medical College and Hospital.
Miraj Ali, the detained individual, purportedly orchestrated a fraudulent operation, promising positions such as supervisor, ward boy, and security guard in the medical facility. Shockingly, it is reported that Ali managed to extract substantial sums, totaling lakhs of rupees, from approximately ten unsuspecting youths in Golakganj.

The climax unfolded last night when Ali, undeterred, attempted to extort more money from his victims. However, quick-witted locals intervened, apprehending him and promptly handing him over to the Golakganj police.
Miraj Ali’s residence, located in Ward No. 14 of Dhubri Town, has now become a focal point of the investigation. The detained broker’s activities have not only raised concerns about the exploitation of job seekers but have also underscored the need for heightened vigilance against such fraudulent practices in the region.
