Tragedy Strikes as Woman’s Mysterious Death Unfolds in Golakganj
Agomani, March 12, 2024: In a distressing incident in Kathaltoli, Chotuguma, Golakganj, the life of Tanushree Parveen took a tragic turn, sparking a wave of demands for justice. Tanushree, a resident of Silakhana in West Bengal, had been married to Jobbar Sheikh of Kathaltoli for four years.
Allegations of persistent mental and physical harassment by her husband’s family have marred Tanushree’s married life. Today, she faced a brutal assault, allegedly at the hands of her husband. Subsequently, she was rushed to Halakura CHC for medical attention, only to be declared dead by the attending doctors.
Shockingly, the husband’s family, after abandoning Tanushree’s lifeless body at the hospital, made a hasty exit, claiming she had taken her own life. The victim’s family, grief-stricken and indignant, swiftly demanded the immediate arrest of the accused.

Upon the family’s arrival at the hospital, the police were alerted, prompting them to transport Tanushree’s body to Dhubri Medical College and Hospital for a thorough autopsy. The victim’s family firmly alleges that Tanushree was not only mentally and physically assaulted but also brutally murdered by her husband’s family.
