Devastating Fire Engulfs Homes of Several Families in Birsing Gaon Panchayat
Dhubri, March 16, 2024: In a distressing incident, a fierce fire erupted near the bustling new market of Birsing Gaon panchayat, situated under the jurisdiction of Fakirganj police station in Dhubri district. The calamity, which unfolded at approximately 2:00 PM in the afternoon, wreaked havoc on the residences of 6-7 families, causing a staggering loss estimated at 25-26 lakh rupees.
The inferno, reportedly ignited during cooking activities for market sale, swiftly engulfed the homes, leaving devastation in its wake. Tragically, invaluable documents succumbed to the flames, compounding the losses incurred by the affected families.

Despite the valiant efforts of bystanders, the fire raged uncontrollably, exacerbated by the remote location that hindered prompt assistance from Fire and Emergency services. Distressed and helpless, the families caught in the blaze, including Osman Gani, Hakimuddin, Saib Ali, Saiful Islam, Roshnai Sheikh, and Saddam Hussain, beseeched the administration for aid, highlighting their occupation as farmers.
This unfortunate incident underscores the urgent need for enhanced safety measures and swift emergency response strategies in rural areas, ensuring the protection and welfare of vulnerable communities.
