BJP and AGP Leaders Convene, Pledge Joint Campaign Efforts for Lok Sabha Elections
Desk Report, March 18, 2024: Today, a pivotal joint assembly convened at the ‘Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan,’ serving as the Bharatiya Janata Party’s headquarters in Basistha, Assam Pradesh. The session witnessed the convergence of top brass from the state BJP and the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP).
Notable attendees included Bhavesh Kalita, the BJP Assam State President, along with Pabitra Margherita, the State BJP Election Management Committee Convener, Naba Kumar Doley and Ajay Konwar, State Vice-Presidents, Manoj Baruah, the Chief Spokesperson, Dewan Dhrubajyoti Maral, the Press Department Convener, Rupam Goswami, a Spokesperson, and Atul Bora, the President of Asom Gana Parishad, alongside Working President Keshab Mahanta.
At the conclusion of the session, State President Bhavesh Kalita announced a unified campaign strategy. Both the BJP and AGP will collaborate on endorsing 14 candidates across 14 constituencies in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. This collaboration will entail joint efforts spanning from the state to the grassroots level.
“We aim to engage constituents with a resounding message of progress and development,” emphasized Kalita. Emphasizing mutual assistance, he underscored the significance of alliance parties bolstering each other’s electoral prospects, expressing optimism in the electorate’s endorsement of the alliance.
Furthermore, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal graced the state BJP headquarters, engaging in discussions with key figures including State President Bhavesh Kalita and Election Management Committee Convener Pabitra Margherita. During these deliberations, Sonowal provided valuable insights on organizational structuring and election readiness.
This collaborative endeavor between the BJP and AGP signifies a concerted effort towards securing electoral success, underpinned by strategic planning and unity of purpose.
