Tinsukia Congress Leaders Quit, Set to Join BJP; Assam CM to Attend BJP Event
Desk Report, March 26, 2024: Pranab Kumar Baruah, who was the head of the Congress in Tinsukia district, has given up his job. At the same time, Birinchi Neog, the ex-secretary of APCC, and Congress members Mahesh Moran and Thomas Baruah have also left their positions. They’re likely to join the BJP today.
The BJP is hosting a welcome event at their temporary office in Kasaribari Lakhinagar at 6 pm. Assam’s Chief Minister, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, and other important people will be there.

On the other hand, the APCC’s president, Bhupen Kumar Borah, has kicked out Pranab Kumar Baruah from the Indian National Congress. Jayanta Kalita, who is the Vice President of APCC, will now take charge of the Tinsukia District Congress Committee right away.
