Concert Featuring Bollywood Singer Jubin Nautiyal Cancelled Amidst Technical Woes and Organizational Controversy
Desk Report, March 29, 2024: The highly anticipated concert featuring renowned Bollywood singer Jubin Nautiyal, scheduled to take place at Nehru Stadium today, has left fans disappointed and organizers embroiled in scrutiny following its abrupt cancellation. The event, anticipated to draw a sizable crowd, was called off due to unforeseen technical problems, as stated by Saregama Arts of Music (SA RE GA MA Arts of Music), the purported event organizer.
In an official statement, SA RE GA MA Arts of Music attributed the cancellation to equipment malfunction, stating, “Due to unforeseen technical problems resulting from equipment malfunction, specifically, two trucks out of the allocated five have encountered delays, preventing the timely setup of essential equipment necessary for the event.”
Amidst the turmoil surrounding the cancellation, Moushumi Bora, purported host of the event and identified as the program head of a private satellite channel, along with several others, has been detained by the police. Bora was apprehended from the Panikhaiti locality in Guwahati city and is presently undergoing questioning at the Panbazar Women’s Police Station.
The unexpected turn of events has left attendees and fans of Jubin Nautiyal disheartened, with many expressing their disappointment via social media platforms. Nevertheless, the organizers have assured patrons that refunds will be processed within 7-10 working days.
The cancellation of the concert has raised pertinent questions regarding the organization and management of such events in the region, prompting authorities to delve deeper into the matter. Presently, no further details have been provided concerning the fate of the detained individuals or the potential rescheduling of the event.
