Police Operation in Bilasipara Sub-Division Leads to Recovery of Weapons and Arrest of Notorious Miscreant
Bilasipara, April 02, 2024: In a significant breakthrough, a joint operation conducted by the Sapatgram Police Station, Nayahat Police Outpost, and Bilasipara Police has led to the recovery of a cache of weapons and the arrest of a notorious miscreant in the Dhemdhema area under the jurisdiction of Sapatgram Police Station.
During the operation, police seized five rounds of live ammunition, including a 7.65 mm pistol, from the miscreants. Hafiz Uddin Sheikh, aged 42, was apprehended by the police during the operation. Additionally, a Santro vehicle bearing the registration number AS 16D 9138, believed to be used by the gang of miscreants, was also seized.
The operation was led by the Bilasipara Sub-Divisional Police Officer and involved a coordinated effort from multiple police units. The house of the arrested miscreant, Hafiz Uddin Sheikh, is located in Fakiragram within the Bodoland Territorial Region.
The police are currently intensifying their efforts to apprehend several other members believed to be involved in the gang of miscreants. Investigations are ongoing, and further details are awaited.
