Desk Report, April 03, 2024: Joyshree Das Verma has been appointed as the 41st National President of the FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) for the term 2024-25. FLO, the oldest women-led and women-centric business chamber in South East Asia, has entrusted Verma with the responsibility to lead the organization to new heights.
With an illustrious 25-year career spanning corporate and entrepreneurial sectors, Joyshree Das Verma brings a wealth of experience to her new role. She serves as the Honorary Consul of Israel for Northeast India and is the Director of Kaapro Management Solutions Pvt. Ltd, a pan-India entrepreneurial HR consulting firm where she is also a co-promoter.
In her role as the Honorary Consul of Israel to Northeast India, Verma has played a pivotal role in bolstering strategic ties between India and Israel. She has focused on diverse sectors including agriculture, water, IT, technology, health, innovation, tourism, trade, and commerce across the eight Northeastern states of India.
Expressing her gratitude on assuming the prestigious position, Verma said, “I am honoured to lead FICCI FLO as the 41st National President. Under the theme ‘Collective Vision, Collaborative Action’ for the year 2024-25, our endeavour is to build a strong, inclusive community dedicated to sustainable progress, fostering individual growth, and inspiring impactful change.”
Shweta Jindal Appointed Chairperson of FICCI FLO Northeast Chapter
In a ceremony held at FICCI House in New Delhi, Shweta Jindal took over as the Chairperson of the FICCI FLO Northeast Chapter. Jindal, a Guwahati-based entrepreneur, is also a senior faculty member with the Art of Living Organisation. She runs a Happiness Centre and is a professional art curator who owns the art gallery ’21st Kilometre’, showcasing traditional art handicrafts and furnishings from across the country.
An array of events has been planned for the 2024-25 term under the leadership of Joyshree Das Verma and Shweta Jindal. These events aim to provide a platform for networking, skill development, and entrepreneurial growth for women across various sectors, furthering FLO’s mission to empower women.
The appointments of Joyshree Das Verma and Shweta Jindal are expected to usher in a new era of growth and empowerment for FICCI FLO, as they work towards fostering a conducive environment for women in business and entrepreneurship.
