Lat Mandal Arrested for Bribery in Nalbari District by Directorate of Vigilance & Anti-Corruption, Assam
Desk Report, April 03, 2024: The Directorate of Vigilance & Anti-Corruption, Assam, has apprehended a Lat Mandal, identified as Khagen Kalita, on charges of bribery in Nalbari district. Kalita was employed at the Office of the Circle Officer in Ghograpar Revenue Circle, Nalbari.
According to official reports, Kalita allegedly solicited money from a complainant in exchange for issuing land sale permission. The arrest was made after Kalita was caught red-handed by officials from the Directorate of Vigilance & Anti-Corruption while accepting the bribe inside the circle office.
