Firing Incident Outside Salman Khan’s Residence: Anmol Bishnoi Allegedly Claims Responsibility
Desk Report, April 14, 2024: In a concerning turn of events, Anmol Bishnoi, purportedly the brother of incarcerated gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, has allegedly claimed responsibility for the recent firing incident that occurred outside the Mumbai residence of Bollywood actor Salman Khan. The incident, which took place around 4:51 am on Sunday, saw two unidentified assailants on motorcycles firing four rounds outside Khan’s residence, Galaxy Apartments. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
An alleged social media post attributed to Anmol Bishnoi, who is reportedly evading law enforcement and believed to be hiding in the United States, conveyed a menacing warning to the actor. In the post, the gunfire was described as a mere “trailer,” cautioning Salman Khan against underestimating their capabilities. The post stated, “We seek peace. But if forced, we will not hesitate to resort to conflict. Salman Khan, consider this a warning. This is just the beginning.”
The ominous message continued, indicating that future actions by the Bishnoi group would not be limited to mere warnings. Furthermore, it referenced dogs allegedly named after notorious underworld figures Dawood Ibrahim and Chota Shakeel, suggesting a veiled threat against Khan, who reportedly reveres these individuals.
It is pertinent to note that both Lawrence Bishnoi and fugitive Goldy Brar had previously issued death threats against Salman Khan. Bishnoi’s gang has also been linked to the murder of Punjabi singer and rapper Sidhu Moose Wala. Anmol Bishnoi, also known as Bhanu, is a fugitive accused in Moose Wala’s murder case. He reportedly fled India using a counterfeit passport and was indicted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) last year.
Anmol Bishnoi’s whereabouts have been a subject of constant change, with sightings reported in Kenya in 2023. This latest threat comes in the wake of a previous email death threat allegedly sent to Salman Khan by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang in March of the preceding year. Consequently, Khan had been provided with weapons by trained security personnel and granted a personal weapon license for self-defense.
In response to the recent incident, security has been heightened around Salman Khan’s residence, with authorities from the crime branch, local police, and forensic teams actively investigating the matter. Bullet casings recovered from the scene are being scrutinized for further leads.
