STF Assam’s Targeted Raid Leads to Arrest of Alleged Habitual Woman Drug Peddler
Guwahati, April 20, 2024: In a targeted operation this afternoon, the Special Task Force (STF) Assam executed a raid at Railway Gate No. 3, Fancy Bazar, within the jurisdiction of Panbazar Police Station. The outcome of the operation culminated in the apprehension of a purported habitual woman drug peddler.
During the meticulously orchestrated raid, the STF Assam successfully seized 18 vials suspected to contain heroin, collectively weighing approximately 23.5 grams. The individual arrested amidst the operation has been identified as Musstt. Alija Begum, originally hailing from Barpeta district. Presently, Begum resides within the precincts of Guwahati city.
The apprehension of Musstt. Alija Begum marks a significant milestone in ongoing efforts to maintain public safety and uphold the rule of law. Authorities are expected to initiate due legal proceedings against Begum in accordance with established protocols.
