Two Separate Road Accidents Claim One Life and Leave Others Injured in Sarbhog
Sarbhog, April 26, 2024: On the morning of April 25 in Sarbhog of Barpeta district, a Bolero pickup with registration number AS 15 AC 7433 collided violently at a bridge over Poklagi river in Bhulukadoba. The vehicle hits two persons, leaving one dead and another injured. The deceased has been identified as Samarendra Thakuria, a 75-year-old former Assam Rifles jawan from Dahalapara.
Later the same day in Sarbhog, at around 9:15 pm, another tragedy took place near the Barnagar B.Ed College campus. A truck with registration number PB 05 AQ 9313 was transporting tiles from Gujarat to Dimapur in Nagaland, when it was involved in the collision due to the fault of another vehicle reportedly the truck and hit an electricity pole.
The occupants of the truck, including driver Luvpreet Singh and another person identified as Bobby from Punjab, sustained minor injuries in the incident. Reacting promptly, the Sarabhog Police rushed them to the Sarabhog Community Health Centre, where they received necessary treatment and first aid.
