STF Operation in Saukuchi Road Results in Drug Trafficking Crackdown
Guwahati, April 30, 2024: In a recent operation led by Inspector Kapil Pathak, a Special Task Force (STF) team raided Dakhingaon, Saukuchi Road under the jurisdiction of Hatigaon police station. The main objective of the raid was to crack down on drug trafficking in the area.
During the operation, the STF managed to arrest two persons allegedly involved in drug racket. Next to the arrests, police seized a a box containing about 12.5 grams of suspected heroin. Besides, Rs 30,200 in cash, a vehicle and several mobile phones believed to be linked to illegal activities were seized.
Inspector Kapil Pathak, who led the operation, stressed the importance of conducting such raids to curb the spread of illegal drugs in the area. STF team is committed to maintaining law and order and will take stern action against those involved in drug-related crimes.
The arrested persons have been remanded for further investigation and legal proceedings are pending. The successful outcome of this operation underscores the tireless efforts of law enforcement in combating drug trafficking and maintaining public safety.
