Electoral Momentum Builds: Dhubri Prepares for Decisive Third Phase Amidst Inclusivity and Vigilance
Dhubri, May 06, 2024: As the electoral process in India progresses, the third phase of elections is set to take place tomorrow, drawing attention to the pivotal Dhubri Lok Sabha constituency. This phase will see the participation of 26,60,827 eligible voters, who will cast their ballots to determine the fate of 13 candidates vying for representation.
Comprising a substantial electorate, Dhubri Lok Sabha constituency boasts 13,62,217 male voters and 12,98,585 female voters, with an additional 25 transgender individuals exercising their democratic rights. The total number of polling stations stands at 3024, reflecting the extensive logistical apparatus involved in facilitating the electoral process.
Within this framework, special emphasis is placed on ensuring inclusivity and accessibility. Notably, 46 polling stations are managed exclusively by women, symbolizing a commitment to gender parity and representation. Moreover, 1114 polling stations have been identified as critical, warranting heightened vigilance and security measures to safeguard the integrity of the electoral process.
Further categorizations include 227 vulnerable polling stations, aimed at addressing potential vulnerabilities and ensuring equitable participation. Additionally, three polling stations are designated specifically for youth engagement, reflecting efforts to cultivate civic consciousness and involvement among the younger demographic.
Amidst these preparations, 29 model polling stations stand as exemplars of efficiency and transparency, setting benchmarks for electoral conduct. A total of 14,518 polling officers and staff are intricately involved in orchestrating the electoral machinery, underscoring the magnitude of organizational efforts.
In parallel, 11,162 police personnel are deployed to uphold law and order, ensuring a conducive environment for democratic expression. Their presence serves as a bulwark against any attempts to disrupt the electoral process and safeguard the rights of voters.
