Cachar Police Take Down Heroin Trafficking Operation at ISBT Silchar
Silchar, May 10, 2024: In a proactive move guided by credible intelligence, the Cachar Police initiated a targeted operation at ISBT Silchar. Their objective? To intercept and thwart an illicit drug shipment. The outcome was significant: a substantial confiscation of 572 grams of heroin, with an estimated street value of around ₹3 crore.
The contraband, suspected to have been smuggled from a neighboring state, was seized during a thorough and meticulous search operation. Three individuals, believed to be key players in the trafficking ring, were swiftly apprehended by the vigilant police force.
