2. Fan Maintenance: Schools must ensure electric fans are in working condition. Any malfunctioning fans should be promptly repaired or replaced.
3. Relaxation of Dress Code: Students are advised against wearing blazers, waistcoats, and ties. They may also opt for sandals over closed shoes if more comfortable.
4. Health Monitoring: Schools must remain vigilant for signs of discomfort among students, notifying parents and seeking immediate medical assistance if necessary.
5. Parental Awareness: Parents will be informed of precautionary measures via messages or phone calls.
These directives complement the previous order regarding water bells and morning assemblies issued on May 22, 2024, which remains in effect.
These proactive steps by the district administrations of Morigaon and Kamrup Metro highlight a concerted effort to ensure the well-being of students during this period of extreme heat.
