In a note shared by Union Minister and BJP leader Nirmala Sitharaman, Prime Minister Modi articulated the significance of his visit, remarking on the divine energy he felt permeating the environment. Reflecting on the transformative journey of the rock memorial, from a site of meditation for revered figures to a symbol of Swami Vivekananda’s enduring ideals, Prime Minister Modi expressed gratitude for the opportunity to meditate at this sacred location.
During his 45-hour spiritual retreat, Prime Minister Modi dedicated himself to introspection and devotion, echoing the ethos of service to the nation espoused by Swami Vivekananda. The Prime Minister’s meditation at the Dhyan Mandapam, where Vivekananda is said to have experienced a vision of ‘Bharat Mata’, coincided with the conclusion of polling for the final phase of the Lok Sabha elections.
This spiritual sojourn follows a rigorous campaign period, during which PM Modi conducted numerous election events and engagements across the country. Known for undertaking such journeys at the culmination of electoral endeavors, Prime Minister Modi’s retreat underscores a commitment to spiritual rejuvenation amidst the demands of governance and political leadership.
