Cachar Police Seize Large Consignment of Foreign Cigarettes; Two Apprehended
Silchar, June 8, 2024: In a significant operation, the Cachar Police, acting on a tip-off, intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number UP 78 DN 3901 at Lailapur, Cachar. The interception led to the seizure of 50 cartons of foreign-made cigarettes.
The individuals apprehended in connection with the consignment have been identified as Sakir Khan and Rahul Kumar, both residents of Khitausa, Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. Cachar have confirmed that legal proceedings against the duo are underway.
