Government of Assam Announces Major Reshuffle of Deputy Conservator of Forests
Guwahati, June 12, 2024: In a significant administrative move, the Government of Assam’s Environment and Forest Department has executed a major reshuffle involving the transfer and posting of several Deputy Conservators of Forests (DCF). The reshuffle aims to enhance operational efficiency and strategic management across various divisions and offices within the state. The following are the key appointments:
– Saumitro Das, Deputy Conservator of Forests, O/o the PCCF & HoFF, Assam, is transferred and posted as DFO, Sonitpur SF Division. The date of effect will be treated from the date of joining in the O/o the PCCF & HoFF, Assam on promotion to DCF.
– Rajib Hazarika, Deputy Conservator of Forests, O/o the PCCF & HoFF, Assam, is transferred and posted as DCF attached to Director, KNP, Bokakhat. The date of effect will be treated from the date of joining in the O/o the PCCF & HoFF, Assam on promotion to DCF.

– Mustafa Ali Ahmed, Deputy Conservator of Forests IT, O/o the PCCF & HoFF, Assam, is transferred and posted as DFO Dhansiri Division.
